farmer's market...

the wee town we live in hosted their first farmer's market this past summer. every thursday evening, a section of main street was closed off to traffic and the local farmers peddled their produce. we didn't make it down there every week (especially in august since we were gone for almost the entire month) but we were able to go every other week, at least. it was such a treat getting 90% of our produce from local, organic sources. the way it should be! i sincerely hope it becomes a tradition and that they continue to add vendors each year. it would be wonderful to get our eggs and other grocery items from such a local venue!! here's a smattering of my favorite pictures taken at the market:
